Intro — AI for Email & Writing
Cut your email time in half, sound more like yourself, and ship better writing — using AI as a sharpener, not a ghostwriter. The course for people who write a lot.
If your job involves writing — emails, newsletters, reports, marketing copy, proposals, anything — this course will change the math on how long it takes you and how good the output is.
By the end, you’ll have:
- A daily email triage workflow that handles 80% of your inbox in 20 minutes
- A “voice doc” that captures how you write, so AI never sounds generic
- A repeatable process for newsletter writing that gets faster every week
- A long-form drafting workflow for the high-stakes pieces (proposals, reports, blog posts)
This is the course we should have shipped first. Most people use AI for writing, and most people use it badly — they get fluent, generic, slightly-off-tone slop. We’ll fix that.
What this course is not
- ❌ A guide to making AI write entire emails or articles for you to send unchanged. That’s the slop-machine path. Recipients will catch it. Eventually it’ll cost you trust.
- ❌ A “200 prompts for writers” listicle. That’s a different product (it’s coming, separately).
- ❌ A debate about whether using AI to write is “cheating.” It isn’t. It’s a tool, like spellcheck or a research assistant. We just use it well.
What this course is
A practical playbook for using AI to:
- Think faster. AI gets you from blank page to 70%-there in minutes.
- Sound like you. With voice samples and the right setup, AI mirrors your style.
- Edit harder. AI’s best use isn’t drafting — it’s critiquing your draft and showing you what to cut.
- Stay consistent. Repeatable workflows mean your Monday email and your Friday email both sound like the same person wrote them.
Course outline
- Lesson 1 — Daily Email Triage. A 20-minute morning workflow that gets you to inbox zero on most days. Templates included.
- Lesson 2 — Build Your Voice Doc. Extract your real writing voice from past emails and articles, save it once, reuse it forever. The single highest-leverage lesson in the course.
- Lesson 3 — Newsletter Writing With AI. Get from topic idea to ready-to-send newsletter in ~45 minutes. Without sounding like ChatGPT.
- Lesson 4 — Long-Form Drafting. Proposals, reports, blog posts, anything 1,000+ words. The 5-pass system.
What you’ll need
- AI tool: Claude or ChatGPT Plus (Claude is meaningfully better for writing — recommended)
- Custom GPT or Project enabled: for saving your voice doc once instead of pasting it every time
- Real samples of your writing: 3-5 emails or articles you’ve written that sound like you. Pull these together before Lesson 2.
- One real writing task you have on your plate this week — we’ll do every exercise on real work
A note on writing with AI in 2026
Most readers can now spot pure-AI writing. The tells: too even, too “balanced,” too many parallel structures, oddly polished without being specific. If you publish something that smells like AI, your audience will quietly lose trust.
The alternative isn’t to not use AI. It’s to use it as a thinking partner and editor — and let your voice survive into the final draft. That’s the entire point of this course.
